Joingy Community Guidelines

Last updated: September 2026

Joingy works because strangers agree to say hello on camera. That only stays fun when everyone feels safe and respected on the other side of the screen. These guidelines are the ground rules every Joingy user accepts — they sit alongside the Terms of Service, and breaking them has real consequences.

1. One Idea Behind Every Rule

A random video chat is a small leap of faith: one click and a real person appears. Rules are what make that leap feel safe to take. Everything below reduces to a single idea — treat the person on your screen the way you would want someone you love to be treated.

2. Staying Respectful on Video Chat

Staying respectful on video chat is mostly common sense, but common sense deserves to be written down:

  • No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech — in any language, on camera or in text chat.
  • No attacking people for their race, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or appearance.
  • A skip or a "no" is a complete answer. Never pressure anyone to stay, to show more, or to move to another app.
  • The face on your screen belongs to a real person having a real day. Act like it.

3. Public Matching Stays Clothed

Public matching on Joingy is a clothed, everyone-welcome space. Nudity, sexual content, and sexually suggestive behavior are not allowed in public matching — the stranger you land on did not sign up for that, and many are chatting from shared or public spaces. Accounts that ignore this rule are removed quickly.

4. Adults Only — Always

Joingy is strictly 18+. No minor may use the service or appear on camera — alone or alongside an adult. Any sexual content involving a minor is banned everywhere on the platform and is reported to the relevant authorities, not simply moderated away. If you suspect someone is underage, report them and we will verify.

5. Consent, Recording, and Privacy

  • Never record, screenshot, or rebroadcast another user's video, voice, or messages without their clear consent.
  • Never share anyone's personal information — real name, address, workplace, contact details — on or off the platform.
  • No scams, no begging for money or gift cards, no fake giveaways, no phishing links.
  • No impersonating another user or a member of the Joingy team.

6. Report and Block Whenever You Need

Every Joingy conversation comes with two tools, and using them is never rude. Block ends contact instantly — that person cannot reach you again. Report hands the behavior to our moderation team with the context they need to act. You never owe anyone your camera or your patience: when a chat feels wrong, skip first and report second. The Joingy safety tips walk through both tools plus the everyday habits that make video chat safer.

7. Moderation Never Sleeps

Joingy moderation runs 24/7 — a mix of automated detection and a human review team that reads every report. Reports are triaged by severity: anything involving minors, threats of harm, or illegal activity jumps the queue and can be escalated to law enforcement. Because the community spans every time zone, there is no hour of the day when a report waits until morning.

8. The Consequence Ladder

We would rather warn than ban — but we will ban. Consequences follow a ladder, and where we start depends on how serious the violation is:

  1. Warning — a first, minor slip. The rule is pointed out and the account carries a mark.
  2. Feature limits — matching, chatting, or purchases restricted for a period.
  3. Temporary suspension — the account is frozen while the case is reviewed.
  4. Permanent ban — for severe or repeated violations. Severe cases skip the earlier steps entirely.

Anything involving minors, exploitation, or credible threats goes straight to permanent removal and, where the law requires, to the authorities.

The Friendly Short Version

Be kind, keep your clothes on in public matching, be an adult, respect a no, and use report and block freely. Do that, and you are exactly the person this community is built for. New here? See how Joingy works and your first conversation is about a minute away — or warm up in text chat first if you would rather type.
